מלוויתא

מְלַוִּויתָאf. (לְוֵי) funeral escort, wailing ceremonies. Midr. Till. to Ps. 104:26 (play on לויתן זה, ib.) זה טובוי מן הדא מ׳ this (the reward of the hereafter) does him more good than that funeral service (with its eulogies, Koh. 12:5; ed. Bub. טיבוי מן ואת מלוותא; Yalk. Ps. 862 זה טיביו מן דאת מְלַוִּיתֵי׳ (corr. acc.).
